THE GOAL

To prominently display a lifestyle image of the children enrolled at the Boys and Girls Club of Newark. The wall mural would be permanently installed onto a focal wall at the Club’s newly built swimming complex.

THE CHALLENGE

At first, it was necessary to build a perfectly smooth sub-wall to resolve the issue of an existing rough textured masonry wall. Because of the high humidity environment, we also had to utilize a printing substrate that could withstand such conditions. Lastly, the high elevation of the graphic necessitated specialty lift equipment for installation purposes.

THE SOLUTION

We brought in treated lumber and high gloss painted aluminum sheeting to construct the sub wall. For printing, we utilized premium 3M adhesive backed film laminated with 3M premium laminate to withstand the humid environment. Professional graphic installers worked off of a 30ft lift for the final installation.
